Economy:
In 2005, Little Rock was named Forbes Magazine's 22nd best city for business, and in 2009 the Brookings Institution ranked it the 7th best metropolitan economy in the United States. Arkansas (and its capital city in particular,) have been successful in luring some of the nation's largest companies like Raytheon, Siemens, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and AT&T. But the state's most famous residents are the Wal-Mart corporation (headquartered in Bentonville,) and Tyson Foods (based in Springdale).

Noteworthy:
In 2004, the $165 million William J. Clinton Presidential Center was dedicated in Little Rock. Clinton isn't the only famous Arkansan though, Johnny Cash and Douglas MacArthur also hail from the state.
